What is ChefGenie and why use it

ChefGenie is a Singapore-built network of AI-powered smart kitchens. They look like vending machines, but each meal is cooked to order on the spot. They are not microwaved frozen meals. The machines are run by local tech company AiKit and were previously branded InstaChef. If you remember the old name, it’s the same service.

The machines run 24/7 and are placed in offices, campuses, hospitals, industrial estates and malls. ChefGenie’s September 2025 launch at Punggol Coast Mall said there were more than 100 machines islandwide at the time. The menu features homegrown brands such as Springleaf Prata Place, Warong Pak Sapari, Takagi Ramen, Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, The Hainan Story and EatPizza. Halal-certified options are also available at some locations.

The ChefGenie app lets you:

• Browse menus at stations near you
• Customise supported dishes
• Pay and order ahead, then track cooking progress
• Collect your meal when the app tells you it’s ready

It’s useful for late-night meals, shift workers, or anywhere the nearest hawker centre is already closed.

ChefGenie Referral Link — What You Get

The coupon’s main condition is the short 7-day validity, so plan to use it within a week. With the $5 minimum spend, a $5 order costs you $2 after the coupon, which is 60% off.

How to Use the ChefGenie Referral Link (Step-by-Step)

ChefGenie doesn’t have a field to type in a code. If you install the app first and register normally, you won’t get the referral coupon. Follow this order:

1. Open the referral link on your phone. Tap the ChefGenie referral link on mobile, not desktop. The invite page is built for mobile browsers.
2. Sign up on the invite page. Register with your mobile number on the page that opens.
3. Download the app. After you sign up, the page sends you to the App Store or Google Play to install ChefGenie.
4. Log in with the same account. Use the same mobile number you just registered with so the coupon stays linked to your account.
5. Check your coupons. The $3 OFF coupon should be in your account. The 7-day countdown starts here.
6. Order $5 or more and apply the coupon at checkout. Pick a nearby station, apply the coupon, pay, and collect when your meal is ready.

Eligibility & Terms You Should Know

• New users only. If you already have a ChefGenie (or old InstaChef) account, you can’t claim the referral coupon.
• Link only, no code. There’s no way to add a referral after you’ve signed up.
• Mobile only. Open the link on your phone.
• Min. spend $5. Orders under $5 won’t qualify.
• 7-day expiry. Unused coupons expire, and there’s no extension.
• One coupon per order. Coupons generally can’t be stacked, so don’t plan on combining this with another promo.
• Terms can change. ChefGenie can change or end the programme anytime. Check the coupon details in the app before ordering.

Is the ChefGenie Referral Bonus Worth It?

Yes, if there’s a ChefGenie machine you actually pass by. The coupon costs you nothing, and $3 off a $5 order is a large share of a single meal. Signing up takes about two minutes.

It’s less worth it if the nearest machine is far away. The 7-day validity means you need a reason to order soon after signing up, so check the map in the app first. Sign up in the week you know you’ll be near a station, such as your office, campus or hospital, or a late shift.

Compared with food delivery welcome codes, the discount is smaller in dollars. However, you don’t pay delivery or platform fees. You pick the meal up yourself.

How to Share Your Own ChefGenie Referral Link

Once you have an account, you can earn rewards for inviting others:

1. Go to the Me tab in the ChefGenie app and find the invite/referral option.
2. Copy your personal invite link, or share it directly to WhatsApp.
3. When a friend signs up through your link, you get 300 points (worth $3).

Your office or school group chat is a good place to share it, especially if there’s a machine in the building.
