What Is the Trust Freedom Card and Why Use It
Trust is a Singapore digital bank backed by Standard Chartered and FairPrice Group. It has over one million customers. In August 2026, Trust rebranded its Cashback Card as the Trust Freedom Card. The card has no annual fee, charges no foreign transaction fee, and needs a minimum income of S$30,000 a year. [link to: Trust Bank referral code (savings account)]
The main feature is choice. You pick one of four reward modes and can switch every membership quarter at no cost:
| Reward mode | Local spend | Overseas spend |
|---|---|---|
| Stockback | 3% until 31 Dec 2026, then 2% | 3% until 31 Dec 2026, then 0.5% |
| Miles | 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 | 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 |
| Unlimited Cashback | 1.5% | 0.5% |
| Bonus Cashback | Up to 15% on one chosen category, 1% on the rest | 0.5% outside the bonus category |
Stockback is the headline feature. Your 3% accumulates, and every time it reaches S$10, Trust automatically buys fractional shares of the US stock or ETF you picked from a list of about 50. There is no commission. Stockback is capped at S$500 per quarter, which covers roughly S$16,667 of spend.
Trust Freedom Card Referral Code: 30D03D32 β What You Get
Option 1: Sure-win scratch card (Stockback, Cashback or Miles)
- Offer window: 13 August to 31 October 2026
- Value: From S$18 to US$8,000. The top prize is paid in US stock when you choose Stockback.
- Minimum spend: None
- When it appears: The golden scratch card usually shows up under Rewards β Quests within 24 hours of approval.
Treat the US$8,000 as a lottery-style top prize and plan around the S$18 floor.
Option 2: Up to 100,000 Max Miles (Miles mode only)
This offer runs from 21 September to 31 October 2026. You must choose Miles as your initial reward mode. Spend is counted by posting date, within 31 days of approval or by 30 November 2026, whichever comes first.
| Cumulative spend | Max Miles gift | Running total |
|---|---|---|
| S$1,000 | 20,000 | 20,000 |
| S$5,000 | 30,000 | 50,000 |
| S$15,000 | 50,000 | 100,000 |
Each miles gift comes as a scratch card with a code. You redeem it in the HeyMax app by 31 December 2026. There is no conversion fee on these bonus Max Miles.
Which one should you pick?
The two offers depend on your initial reward mode, so you are effectively choosing between them. HeyMax’s FlyAnywhere feature currently cashes out Max Miles at 1.8 cents each (this rate is not guaranteed). At that rate, the first tier alone works out to about S$360 for S$1,000 of spend. If you can hit S$1,000 in 31 days on spending you would do anyway, Miles mode has the higher expected value. If you want zero spending pressure and an investing habit, pick Stockback. How to Use the Trust Freedom Card Referral Code (Step-by-Step)
- Download the Trust Bank SG app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Tap “Use referral code” at the start of your application and enter 30D03D32. The code has to be entered during sign-up. You cannot add it later.
- Verify with Singpass MyInfo. This fills in your NRIC, address and income details.
- Select the Trust Freedom Card and choose your initial reward mode: Stockback or Cashback for the scratch card offer, or Miles for the Max Miles tiers.
- Get approved by 31 October 2026, 11:59pm. Approval date is what counts, not the date you submitted.
- Check Rewards β Quests within 24 hours for your scratch card. If you chose Miles, track your spend against the S$1,000, S$5,000 and S$15,000 tiers.
- Nothing after one business day? Contact Trust through in-app chat.
Eligibility & Terms You Should Know
- New to Trust credit cards only. If you have ever held a principal Trust credit card, even one that is now cancelled, you are disqualified. Unlike some banks, Trust has no 12-month reset.
- A savings account signup alone doesn’t count. Signing up only for the savings account does not trigger the credit card scratch card.
- One scratch card per application session. Applying for the Freedom and Link cards together still gets you only one golden scratch card.
- Excluded spend earns no rewards and does not count towards the miles tiers. This includes insurance premiums, utilities, government services, education, charitable donations, and top-ups to GrabPay, YouTrip and similar e-wallets. Watch out for “catch-all” merchant codes MCC 7299, 7399 and 8999, which can show up at ordinary shops and restaurants.
- Posting date matters. A transaction made on day 30 that posts on day 32 will not count towards the miles tiers.
- Membership quarter quirk. Your reward quarter starts from your approval month, not the calendar quarter. Getting approved in October lines your quarters up with the calendar year.
- Stockback is an investment. Its value can go down as well as up.
- The 3% Stockback rate is promotional. It drops to 2% local and 0.5% overseas from 1 January 2027.
Is the Trust Freedom Card Referral Bonus Worth It?
For most people, yes, because the card costs nothing to hold. There is no annual fee, no FX fee, and at least S$18 comes in with no minimum spend.
Where the card earns its keep is filling gaps other cards leave:
- Overseas spend. A Singapore finance creator who tested the card in Bangkok reported that Trust’s THB conversion rate was almost the same as Google’s reference rate for that day. Together with 3% Stockback, that beats most cards that charge a 3.25% FX fee. [link to: best cards for overseas spending Singapore]
- Big-ticket purchases. The same creator put a S$4,811 mattress on the card and earned about S$144 in Stockback. Most miles cards cap bonus earn at around S$1,000 to S$1,200 a month.
- Small transactions that fall under other cards’ S$5 minimums, such as hawker, kopi and MRT top-up amounts.
Skip it if you carry a credit card balance, since interest will wipe out any reward. Also skip it if you already have a Trust credit card, because you won’t qualify.
